The heads of the top three U.S. wireless carriers stayed away from controversy during their Tuesday session together at CTIA Enterprise & Applications™, preferring to present upbeat outlooks for the industry as well as their own companies rather than take on their rivals. "Our industry can help to get our economy back on track," Sprint CEO Dan Hesse said. He also referred to "real progress" that the carrier has made on environmental issues, while AT&T Mobility chief Ralph de la Vega and Verizon Wireless CEO Dan Mead pointed to their companies' investments in research and development centers.
