When things are going well, it's easy to lose sight of the fact that you need your customers, not the other way around, writes Jeff Haden. To prevent this feeling of smugness and instead make each customer feel valued, concentrate on the good fortune you have had and think of your customers as your providers. "As a business owner you're constantly starving -- and every customer helps put food on your table," Haden writes.
