Fox Broadcasting has created an executive position charged with overseeing the company's digital strategy, and has named a new-media expert to head it. David Wertheimer, who has served as CEO of the Entertainment Technology Center at the University of Southern California and as president of Paramount Digital Entertainment, is Fox's first president of digital operations. Wertheimer will take the reins of Fox initiatives that include online video, applications, games and possibly a dedicated "Simpsons" digital channel.
