Manufacturers of graphics cards are reluctant to press ahead with adoption of chips made with 28-nanometer linewidths by Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co. because of the foundry's past yield problems with its 40nm process, DigiTimes reports, citing industry sources. The graphics card makers are also concerned with weakening demand for their products and lower profit margins, those sources add.
