The 21-foot diameter, 679,000-pound machine that has been excavating the first of the two subway tunnels in Seattle is expected to be dismantled so that it can be moved back to Capitol Hill to begin digging the second tunnel this week. The $1.9 billion, 3.15-mile subway line is expected to be finished in 2016.
