China Telecom intends to market a mobile service in the U.S. in early 2012 aimed at those who communicate frequently between China and the U.S., such as Chinese-Americans, students and tourists, says Donald Tan, the head of China Telecom Americas. He added that the company, which will carry the China Telecom brand, will choose a U.S. network partner once it completes a series of tests with several providers that are under way.
