Presidential candidate and Texas Gov. Rick Perry's energy plan would likely hurt clean-energy sources more than oil and natural gas producers, according to an analysis. Perry's plan would allow tax credits and other incentives for renewable energy to expire, while ending tax incentives for oil and gas companies would require congressional approval, observers say. "The politics of fossil fuel are much more entrenched and much stronger than the politics of [renewable] energy," said Columbia University tax law professor Michael Graetz.
