A U.S. District Court judge has dismissed four of five antitrust claims against Travelport brought by American Airlines parent AMR, as well as two similar claims against Sabre Holdings and all claims against Orbitz Worldwide. Although the defendants claimed victory, AMR declared its satisfaction with the Texas judge's decision to allow its principal antitrust claim to go forward. The judge is allowing the allegation that "Travelport monopolizes access to Travelport's current travel agency subscriber base" to stand, giving AMR until Dec. 5 to amend its lawsuit.
