The tab for PCB cleanup in the lower Fox River in Wisconsin is an estimated $750 million and rising, and the government plans to collect hundreds of millions of dollars in natural resources damages as well. Two companies and their insurers have put about $300 million into the cleanup, which was ordered under the Superfund law. Whether other companies responsible for the pollution pay their share, however, could be determined as a result of two lawsuits in U.S. District Court in Green Bay.
