Dr. Jamie Koufman, author of "Dropping Acid: The Reflux Diet Cookbook & Cure," said a low-acid diet focuses on less-processed food, such as vegetables and grains. But Koufman warned that people still can get too much acid from some fruits, diet soda and citrus juice.
