Students in one Minnesota school district are learning math this year via an online program developed over the summer by their teachers. The project cost the district about $175,000 less than the cost of new textbooks, even after some funds were spent to provide DVDs and hard copies to students without Internet access. "If every school district looked at doing this for all of their classes, the money saved would be just unbelievable," statistics teacher Michael Engelhaupt said.
