Nebraska Gov. Dave Heineman approved two measures that would allow the route of TransCanada's Keystone XL pipeline to change to avoid some environmentally sensitive locations in the state. The bills will allow Nebraska officials to launch further studies on the project and also ensure that future pipelines would receive more oversight. This comes after the U.S. State Department said it would delay its decision on the pipeline because of environmental concerns surrounding the pipeline's path through Nebraska.
