The building energy-efficiency industry is projected to increase by more than 50% to $103.5 billion by 2017, according to a report released by Pike Research. The report, "Energy Efficient Buildings: Global Outlook," cites the emergence of energy service companies and stricter energy conservation policies as the key factors driving growth of energy-efficiency in buildings.
