Students in one Iowa school district are using the Web-based Google Docs application as part of their English curriculum this year. In one middle-school, students are using the application to collaborate on an original narrative essay. "The students are taking turns writing sentences, and they are mentally engaged [during] the whole class period," teacher Brenda Knobloch said. "While they are not typing, they are reading and anticipating the evolution of the [essay] plot."
