Middle-age women who consume two or more sugary drinks daily are nearly four times as likely to develop high triglyceride and blood-glucose levels, regardless of weight gain, compared with women who drink less than one soda a day. The findings, presented at the American Heart Association's annual meeting, also show that women who drink two or more sodas a day have more belly fat.
