Medical professionals will embrace mobile computing devices, including tablets, in a big way next year, according to a CompTIA survey, which found that 25% of respondents are already using the devices in their practices. An additional 21% are expected to jump on the bandwagon in the next 12 months. The CompTIA Third Annual Healthcare IT Insights and Opportunities study found that more than 50% of health care workers use smartphones during the workday, and one-third use those handsets or tablets to access electronic medical records.
