Weight loss will be a top priority for Americans in 2012 but it will go beyond diet and exercise to include lifestyle coaching, personal trainers and more gym options, according to the American Council on Exercise. The council's Top Fitness Trends for 2012 report says communities will have a bigger focus on health, more companies will use gyms and health clubs to run wellness programs, and social media and mobile applications will give people online-based exercise options.
