Near-field communications are likely to be driven in large part by mobile marketing and, specifically, NFC tags on posters, according to an ABI Research report. Over the next five years, nonpayment services in NFC are expected to total $298 million, the report says. Among the companies with such products already on the market are Avery Dennison, Identive and UPM Raflatac.
