Younger workers increasingly are investing in equities through their 401(k)s, according to a report by the Investment Company Institute and the Employee Benefit Research Institute. Overall in 2010, about 40% of 401(k) investors included equities as more than 80% of their portfolios, although about 60% workers in their 20s did so, the report says. Also, 70% of 401(k) plans included target-date funds last year, according to the report.
