A national survey of about 67,500 respondents aged 12 and older revealed that more than 18% of teens aged 16 to 17 living with a mother who drove under the influence of drugs or alcohol had done the same, compared with 11% whose mothers didn't drink and drive. Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration researchers found the rate was 21.4% for teens with fathers who drove under the influence, compared with 8.4% of teens whose fathers didn't drink and drive.
