Some of the money that big broadcasters make by selling advertisements during wildlife shows should be put into trusts and used to pay for nature-conservation projects, British researchers say. They propose per-viewer or per-DVD charges that would raise the cost of programming but might incline people to watch. "[W]ouldn't it feel good to know that just by watching a show about nature you are also helping to conserve it?" writes David Biello.
