Students in a computer-science class at Winchester High School in Massachusetts are creating Android apps for their Motorola Xoom tablets. Teacher Daniel Downs avoids programming languages such as JavaScript and has students using Adobe Flash CS 5.5, Photoshop and a scripting language used by Flash that allows them to test their apps as they build them. "For the student who isn't necessarily the typical code genius, this is a very practical way to develop mobile apps," Downs said.
