Construction workers involved in LEED projects may be more exposed to potential injury than crews in traditional projects, according to a study published in the Journal of Construction Engineering and Management. The study found that workers on green-building sites could experience more fall injuries due to the installation of clean-energy systems and could face increased risk of lacerations and exposure to harmful materials. "It doesn't have to be this way," said Peter Stafford, executive director of the Center for Construction Research and Training.
