Fifth-grade students who used the iPad application Motion Math, which focuses on learning fractions, improved their test scores by an average of more than 15% after just five days of daily 20-minute sessions, according to a small study commissioned by Motion Math, and conducted by an independent researcher. Results from a larger study on the use of iPad apps to help students learn algebra are due next month.
