Elementary-school Principal Peter DeWitt considers in this blog post whether lesbian, gay, bisexual or transgender students, staff or teachers should be free to disclose their sexual orientation at school. Just as the government's "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" policy was repealed for military personnel, such policies -- explicit or implied -- should also be ended in schools, DeWitt writes. "The public school system is a place where all ideas and values converge and should be respected," he writes.
