Companies are growing more attuned to the opportunities inherent in a solid CSR strategy, according to senior executives interviewed by GreenBiz.com. Economic forces, consumer demand and a desire to reduce risk are spurring a reassessment, the executives say. "Across all sectors, corporations have been setting five- to 10-year sustainability goals and putting their organizations on a flight plan to be more socially, economically and environmentally responsible," says PepsiCo CSR chief Robert ter Kuile.
