The market for chocolate in China has increased almost 40% since 2008, and a Bain study predicts it will grow 11% a year through 2017. Mars currently commands 40% of the market, followed by Nestle and Ferrero, but Hershey recently formed a joint venture with Lotte Confectionery to sell Hershey products in China and elsewhere in Asia.
