Residential-propane business owners should start re-energizing their ties with home builders and construction professionals serving their market to boost revenue and promote the use of propane, writes industry consultant Tom Jaenicke. There are several causes behind the "downward pressure" the industry is facing, including frugal consumers worried about the economy and a communication gap between construction professionals and propane marketers, says Jaenicke.
