Apple believes that the buzz it gains by keeping products secret until the moment of their launch is worth millions of dollars, writes Adam Lashinsky. The company creates a culture of secrecy so pervasive that employees often refuse to tell one another what their jobs are. "I've had friends who've been reprimanded for talking too much," a former engineer says. "It's best in general not to talk about work."
