An online program for teaching financial literacy to students is being used in Charles County Public Schools in Maryland. The program, EverFi Financial Literacy Platform for High Schools, uses social networking, 3D gaming and other tools to teach students about credit scores, student loans and other topics. "One of the best things that we can do for the upcoming generation is to help educate children about the importance of making wise financial decisions," said Jim DiMisa, chief operations officer of the Community Bank of Tri-County, which is providing the curriculum for free to the schools.
