Scientists have confirmed that about 15 pounds of igneous rock that landed on Earth last summer was dislodged from the planet Mars. Researchers say the find is significant because, at just a few million years old, the rocks are some of the freshest specimens among the total 240 pounds of Martian rock in our possession. The find is even better news for meteorite dealer Darryl Pitt, who has been scooping up the rocks in Morocco and selling them for as much as $22,500 an ounce.
