The Kansas Alliance for Biorefining and Bioenergy, MGP Ingredients and four universities in the state are collaborating to develop technologies that use distillers dried grains with solubles to produce bio-based raw materials such as fuels, foams and plastics. KABB will pledge $1.4 million, while MGP and the schools will contribute in-kind services worth about $1.5 million.
