A QuantiaMD survey of 4,000 physicians revealed that 15% of respondents used Facebook for work, while 8% spent time on Youtube and blogs and 3% on Twitter. In addition to providing a means to attract patients, social media use helps physicians build deeper bonds with patients, said Dr. Kurt Frederick of Premier Family Physicians in South Austin, Texas.
