Insurers so far aren't flocking to buy higher reinsurance limits after big disaster losses in the past two years, although that may change when those hit hardest by disasters renew this spring, says Aon Benfield Analytics. In addition, capacity is "sufficient" to meet increased demand, and "reinsurance and risk-transfer securities markets have the strength, capacity, creativity and credibility to support value-building insurers in 2012," the report says.
