The use of personal devices such as tablets, smartphones and laptops in the enterprise workspace can be a nightmare for IT administrators, but bring-your-own-device policies don't have to inspire anxiety if the right tools are employed, Mathias Thurman writes. A securely deployed virtual desktop infrastructure may make all the difference by offering a unified platform for managing devices remotely, Thurman writes. "By embracing this trend and setting up guidelines, we stand a chance of controlling what's connected to our network and securing our environment," he writes.
