Apple moved up two spots to third place in the global cellphone market in the fourth quarter on the back of a 128% jump in iPhone sales based on its new 4S model, according to the IDC research firm, which says the overall market grew at a sluggish pace. Nokia remained in first place, although Samsung Electronics closed the gap: Its market share was 22.8%, while Nokia's was 26.6%. Apple held an 8.7% market share, more than double its fourth-quarter 2010 share.
