Some Colorado teachers say they support a new in-class breakfast program, in which all students are served the same hot meal at the start of school. Robert Reichardt, president of a research firm in the state, writes in this commentary about a recent visit to an elementary school in which teachers said students were better behaved and more on-task since the program began. He writes that while more data is needed on the effectiveness of the meals, districts should implement and study them.
