President Barack Obama's energy policy is "outrageously anti-American," places too much emphasis on electric-vehicle technology and ignores TransCanada's Keystone XL pipeline, Republican presidential hopeful Newt Gingrich said. Since Obama was elected, gasoline prices have skyrocketed, Gingrich said, adding that the president sees electric vehicles as the only way to decrease dependence on foreign oil.
