Veterinarians are part of a growing trend to digitize health records. "A lot of practices now, especially in [New York City], all have more or less gone to digital records," says veterinarian Charles Berk. "There are no more paper charts, everything is computerized, even X-rays are digital." The move is beneficial to both veterinarians and owners, who can access their pet's medical information online. Others in the pet industry riding the digital wave include pet food companies, pet product vendors and app creators.
