Doctors who booked patients for appointments within six days, did not keep them waiting longer than 15 minutes and spent more than 10 minutes with them received the highest patient satisfaction scores in a survey of 11,558 primary care patients and 11,068 patients of specialists. Patients tended to be more tolerant of longer delays before seeing a specialist, but the longer the wait, the lower the satisfaction score, the survey found.
