Bonneville Power Administration is proposing a compromise in a dispute with wind farm operators in the Pacific Northwest over the agency's environmental redispatch oversupply policy. BPA is offering to cover half of the losses incurred by wind farms that are forced to curb their output because of the policy. BPA's proposed solution is not enough, said Erin Greeson of Renewable Northwest Project, who said that BPA should "focus on long-term solutions that will actually solve the over-generation issue, increase flexibility for the system, and ensure that the Northwest remains a good place to do business."
