A bill sponsored by Rep. Pete Olson, R-Texas, that would allow ethanol made from domestic fossil fuels to qualify under the Renewable Fuel Standard is a misguided attempt to pass off fossil fuels as a renewable resource and undermine the RFS, according to Matt Hartwig, communications director for the Renewable Fuels Association.
