A TechNet study reports that the increase in mobile software development is the prime factor supporting about 500,000 jobs in the U.S., with the New York area benefiting the most. "It must be noted, of course, that the App Economy is only four years old and extremely fluid," said the report's author, economist Michael Mandel of SouthMountain Economics. "Both the location and number of app-related jobs are likely to shift greatly."
