Male students in the United Kingdom no longer read simpler books than female students, according to a recent study by a Dundee University professor. The study focused on which books about 210,000 children are reading, and found that Roald Dahl is the most popular author among children. "My assumption is that this year boys are being especially encouraged to read harder books by their teachers," said Keith Topping, who conducted the study.
