Many pets react to pollen just as humans do, with sneezes, watery eyes and itchy throats, and the warm weather this winter and spring means animals are having allergic reactions earlier, say pet owners and veterinarians. Dr. Heather Peikes, a veterinary dermatologist, said pets can be treated with "allergy shots, air purifiers and even antihistamines," in consultation with a veterinarian.
