Teams of middle-school students competed in the Boulder Valley School District's "Iron Chef" cooking challenge to create a salad and sandwich for about $1.20 per serving that is easy to mass produce and meets federal nutrition guidelines. Sixth-graders on the "Crazy Cajuns" team won with their recipe for chicken po'boys and coleslaw, earning $500 and a spot on school lunch menus.
