DISH has completed its purchases of DBSD North America and TerreStar, saying that it "looks forward" to working with federal regulators and helping provide needed wireless spectrum. The Federal Communications Commission early this month denied DISH a waiver that would have enabled it to offer a wireless broadband service more quickly. The satellite provider said Monday that it would begin to work on improving the quality of phones that could exploit satellite and terrestrial links "while exploring its options for a broader market entry."
