DRAM contract prices have increased 2% to 3% this month, but contract pricing for NAND flash memory devices has been on the decline, according to DRAMeXchange. The market research firm says seasonal sluggishness in demand for memory cards and drives is to blame for the NAND price contraction, along with unwillingness by equipment makers to increase their chip inventories ahead of the second quarter.
