The Eagle Ford Shale in Texas will have 5,000 new wells this decade, translating to 68,000 jobs and $780 million in state tax revenue, according to a study by the University of Texas at San Antonio. Oil and condensate lead production in the field, but natural gas output more than doubled in the first 11 months of 2011 compared with a year earlier.
