The House Natural Resources Committee voted to allow it to subpoena the Obama administration regarding an offshore-drilling safety report. The report, which was released shortly after the Gulf of Mexico oil spill, mistakenly implied that third-party engineers had supported a six-month offshore-drilling moratorium. "Congress has an obligation to the American people to conduct oversight and take a careful, thoughtful look at the administration's policies and actions," said Rep. Doc Hasting, R-Wash., chairman of the committee.
